I realized I never blogged Branleys birth…shame on me! I have only photographed 2 births, one being my nephew, and I would really love to do more. Being able to witness a new life coming into this world is one of the greatest things i’ve ever been able to be a part of. It truly is a miracle and I am in awe by how amazing a woman’s body is.
Jessica and I had been planning and talking about Branley’s birth since right after she got pregnant and I couldn’t wait for the day to come. The night before Jessica texted me and said she was having some contractions. Thankfully Mr. Branley held off his entrance into the world until the next day because I was 2 hours away visiting my sister. I made it back with plenty of time to spare thankfully!
Love these images of Jess cuddling with her nephew. So sweet!
One thing I really love is the connection between husband and wife during a delivery. I love seeing a husband doting over his wife and being so strong and supportive for her. I’m sure for a man it has got to be one of the hardest things to do, to watch your wife in so much pain and not be able to take it away.
That image of Ray hugging Jess after he was born…tear. Love it!
Mama holding her baby for the first time…pure joy.
Next, it was time for big brother to meet his new little brother. I think the whole room was probably crying when he walked in. The surprise and joy on his face was priceless.
You could immediately tell how much this little man was loved. And how could you not love him?! He’s such a handsome little guy!
The next day I came back up to the hospital for a few more photos of the guy. 🙂
Branley and his family will always have a special place in my heart. I feel so connected to them because they allowed me to witness this huge moment in their life. I will never be able to thank them enough for trusting me to photograph this event for them.
Hugs to you guys! You are the best. ❤
